Personal, organisation and site access

Who this is for

Use this guide if you want a personal Abe workspace, work for a clinic or work across sites. Your personal workspace belongs to you; only its owner with active membership can use it. A clinic or site has separate membership and access. An employer or sponsor can fund services. A sponsor does not gain access to your personal information or update preferences.

Creating a workspace does not require Stripe or a discount code. Buying services, having services funded for you, connecting an app and choosing notifications are separate steps.

Start here

  1. Sign in to your own Abe account and open My Abe workspace.
  2. Read the explanation, select I want to create my personal Abe workspace, then press Create my personal workspace. Signing in, opening the page or checking the box alone does not create anything.
  3. Wait for Workspace verified. Abe creates your workspace or verifies the personal workspace you already have. Your existing practice account stays in place.
  4. Choose service access separately through Billing. To use either personally funded or employer-funded access in another app, approve that app's access separately.
  5. Before approving an app connection, check the organisation shown on its permission screen. If it is wrong, decline and ask support to check the relationship. There is no new organisation or site selector on this workspace page; it does not switch accounts or end an employer relationship.
  6. Choose your own alert criteria, timing and destination through Alerts. Funding does not turn on notifications.

Do not use another person's account to reach a site or personal service. Personal access cannot be recovered through an old employer profile after authority ends.

What success looks like

The workspace page displays Workspace verified and a workspace reference. That confirms your personal workspace; it does not confirm a purchase, employer-funded benefits, app connection or delivery. Those steps must show their own successful results.

The workspace action has isolated database and synthetic browser checks. A normal signed-in production acceptance session is still outstanding; this guide's availability remains unverified. A personal/site selector must separately confirm the exact chosen workspace before use.

Employer departure closes the affected employer authority. Your separate personal allocation remains usable only if independently valid, with current membership and permissions. A previous sign-in or a saved preference does not keep departed authority alive.

If it does not work

If the workspace result is unconfirmed, it may already have been created. Use Check this workspace attempt on the same page; Abe keeps the same request and checks its result. Reloading does not automatically retry. If browser storage is unavailable, the page may be unable to recover the same local attempt after a reload; ask support to check your account before starting over.

For a changed employer or missing site, ask support to check the current relationship. Do not reconnect automatically to a previous employer or repurchase access before its existing funding is checked. Use Troubleshooting and supply only the screen, approximate time and non-sensitive error. Never send passwords, keys or patient information.

Stop or change your choices

Saving preferences, disconnecting an app and cancelling funding are separate choices. Pause personal updates if needed, then manage the relevant application or funding through Manage and cancel. Ending one employer relationship does not transfer or cancel an independently valid personal allocation.
