Who this is for​

Use this guide when deciding which professional-information service fits your task. Funding, app permission, permitted sources and an accepted customer channel are separate requirements. A module can be funded while its source or app access remains unavailable.

Choose the purpose before choosing a host:

  • Rules and standards: find legislation, registration requirements and professional standards with source links. This is not clinical evidence updating or treatment advice. Use Rules and standards search.
  • Regulatory updates: follow relevant changes through sources and your own selected Alerts.
  • Professional development: discover courses in the existing Beta finder. Course registration remains with providers.
  • AI readiness: assess an organisation's readiness and review the resulting work in Governance and readiness.
  • Practice governance: retrieve and review governance documents. Reading access does not supply document generation or task-creation permission.
  • Accreditation readiness: review preparation and evidence gaps. Preparation is not an accreditation decision.
  • Funding reference: intended exact official MBS/PBS reference; the new lookup service is not yet live. See Funding reference.
  • Clinical reference: professional reference information within its verified source scope. Patient-specific clinical decision support is inactive.

Current read access covers evidence search, personal update choices, PD discovery and governance retrieval where those services are supported. Separate permissions are required for readiness assessment, governance generation, task creation, accreditation assessment and exact funding lookup. A read subscription cannot silently enable those operations.

What success looks like​

You receive the result for the selected service, with source dates and limitations where relevant. Search success does not prove complete coverage, clinical authority, a paid allocation or automatic delivery. A larger subscription cannot override source terms or professional scope.

If it does not work​

Read the displayed gap first. Missing permission, expired funding, restricted source material and an unaccepted channel need different remedies. Use the direct PD finder or Evidence search where your access supports them. Do not buy a larger package simply because a source or destination is unavailable. See Troubleshooting.

Stop or change your choices​

Choose only the services and permissions you need. Browse without subscribing, pause alerts separately, and manage funding through Manage and cancel. Review Source coverage before relying on a result outside its actual information scope.
